Troop Leader Volunteers
We are looking for group leaders for the Kindergarten and 1st Grade troops. Due to the size of our troop, we can only offer openings for incoming Kindergartners if we have new troop leaders. Monthly agendas and outings are already planned - leaders need to be present to execute the monthly meetings and customize activities per age group. If you are interested in becoming a troop leader or for more information about AHG, please email Katherine Lucas at kasia.helena@gmail.com or Claudia Tapia at ctapia1240@gmail.com.
More specific information on badges and monthly meetings will be sent out to those who register. Thanks and we can't wait for a wonderful year ahead!

Guadalupe Students for Life
Guadalupe Students for Life St Lawrence 6 th -8 th graders are invited to join the Guadalupe Students for Life (GSFL) pro-life group. In GSFL, students will be given a clear understanding of the value of all human life from conception to natural death based on Catholic teaching and scientific reasoning. They will also be educated on the stages of development of the pre-born baby. Each year the children are asked to think of a name for a baby that they will ‘spiritually adopt’ during the nine months of the program. They are asked to pray each day the Spiritual Adoption Prayer, a simple prayer for a baby in danger of abortion. Armed with the knowledge they will gain in this program, students will learn to respect all human life through prayer and service in a fun atmosphere, presented by the St. Lawrence Pro-Life Group.

Forensics
Dear STL Families:
We are excited to announce the return of forensics for 5th - 8th grade students!
Forensics is a public speaking and performance extracurricular activity. Students who wish to challenge and improve their public speaking abilities and grow in confidence are highly encouraged to try out. Those involved perform in a variety of events, such as dramatic interpretation, storytelling, poetry, and speech delivery. As members of the Forensics Team, students will hone several skills apart from public speaking including (but are not limited to!): accepting and integrating constructive feedback, critical thinking, creativity, memorization, and organization. In short, this is a great opportunity for students to challenge themselves!
This year's team will be led by Mrs. Lisa Marcopoli and Mrs. Maria Moore, both of whom have extensive experience in forensics coaching and performance. Twenty-nine students will be accepted, and parent volunteers to help with coaching/providing feedback to students and judging the spring tournament will be critical to the team's success.
Please feel free to reach out to either Mrs. Marcopoli or Mrs. Moore with any questions!
